What is Indi Travel Guide?

Indi Travel Guide is an all-in-one travel app where you can discover local recommendations from real creators, plan your trips, connect with other travellers, and document your journeys in one place.

Is Indi Travel Guide free to use?

Yes. The app is free to download and use. Some premium features are unlocked through a subscription.

What do I get with a premium subscription?

Premium users unlock full access to advanced planning tools, enhanced creator features, extended storage, and additional community functions. A portion of subscription revenue supports our Indi Charity initiatives.

Account & Profile

How do I create an account?

You can sign up using your email address or supported social login options directly in the app.

Can I edit my profile information?

Yes. You can update your username, bio, profile picture, visited countries, and other personal details at any time via Settings → Edit Profile.

How do I delete my account?

You can request account deletion in Settings → Account → Delete Account. After confirmation, a 60-day deletion period begins. During this time you can reactivate your account.

What happens to my posts and comments if I delete my account?

Your profile will be removed. Some public interactions such as comments may remain visible but will be anonymised.

My Journey (Trip Planning)

What is 'My Journey'?

My Journey is your personal travel planner where you can organise itineraries, upload photos and videos, store tickets, write blogs, and map out your trip.

Can I share my journey with others?

Yes. You can share your journey with selected users. Shared journeys include itinerary details and blogs but exclude private notes, tickets, and private media unless selected.

Can I turn my journey into a PDF or photobook?

Yes. Once your journey is complete you can export it as a digital PDF or order a physical photobook where available.

Creators & Recommendations

What are Trusted Creators?

Trusted Creators are local travellers who share authentic recommendations from cities and countries they know best.

Can anyone become a creator?

Yes. Users can apply to become a creator. Applications are reviewed to ensure quality and authenticity.

Do creators get paid?

Some creators may monetise content through partnerships or platform opportunities depending on eligibility.

Indi Trax (Location Sharing)

What is Indi Trax?

Indi Trax allows you to share your live location with other travellers in real time.

Is Indi Trax always active?

No. Indi Trax is optional and must be manually activated. You can disable it anytime.

Who can see my location?

You control your visibility settings and decide who can connect with you.

Is my location stored permanently?

No. Location sharing is temporary and handled according to your settings and our Privacy Policy.

Privacy & Safety

How does Indi Travel Guide protect my data?

We use encrypted connections, secure infrastructure, and restricted internal access to protect your data.

Does Indi sell my personal data?

No. We do not sell your personal data.

Can I download my personal data?

Yes. You can request a copy of your stored personal data by contacting support.

Can I control marketing emails?

Yes. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or via notification settings.

Subscriptions & Payments

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play account, or via your account settings if purchased through our website.

Will my subscription renew automatically?

Yes. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Technical & Support

I forgot my password. What should I do?

Use the 'Forgot Password' option on the login screen and follow the instructions sent to your email.

How do I contact support?

Go to Settings → Support → Contact Us and submit a request with details and optional screenshots.

The app is not working properly. What can I do?

Ensure you are using the latest app version. If the issue continues, contact support and include your device type and app version.

Community & Guidelines

What content is not allowed?

Content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, discriminatory, misleading, or infringes intellectual property rights is not allowed.

How do I report inappropriate content?

You can report posts, users, or comments directly within the app using the Report feature.
